CeraLive is pre-release. What works today
CeraLive is a live-streaming system designed for you to build yourself.
Most of its software is open source. It combines multiple connections to send one stream.
HDMI video capture and encoding up to 4K at 59.94 fps, with H.264 or H.265.
Capabilities depend on the hardware and input format.

For years, broadcasters have gone live from anywhere with bonded-cellular systems: professional equipment that combines several mobile connections into one reliable feed. It works very well, and it is designed and priced for networks and large productions.
Independent creators, event crews and community and regional broadcasters have had few open, high-quality options they could build, own and repair themselves.
CeraLive is that option. Software built on open source turns a small single-board computer with hardware video encoding into a bonded live encoder. It sends one stream over cellular, Wi-Fi and Ethernet at the same time, so your broadcast stays on air when a connection drops. You choose the parts, you own the device, and you decide where the stream goes.
4K at 59.94 fps over HDMI on both boards, in H.264 and H.265. Capture and encoding are 8-bit; this does not cover every camera or input format, exact 60 fps, or HDMI audio at 4K.

Bonding explainedWorks with standard SRTLA receivers, BELABOX-compatible or your own, and with OBS over SRT.
Choose where your stream goesBoth boards have streamed for more than 12 hours straight: HDMI capture, H.264 and H.265 encoded on the board, sent over bonded connections.

Who it’s for: IRL streamers, event and sports producers, and community, regional and news broadcasters.
The camera feeds the CeraLive device. It splits one stream across every link you have, a receiver puts the packets back together, and OBS sends the result wherever you stream.
srtla_send sends every packet over the link best placed to carry it, using each link's capacity, recent losses and round-trip time: scheduled, not striped or mirrored.
Throttle or cut any link and watch its share move to the others. Cut two, and the last link keeps the stream on air only if it can carry it alone.
This simulation needs JavaScript. Turn it on to throttle and cut the links.
Replaying the failure needs JavaScript.

Most of CeraLive is public on GitHub: the control panel, the bonding sender, the receivers, our SRT library, and the modem and camera stacks.
The streaming engine on the device isn't public yet.

CeraLive sends a standard bonded stream, so it fits the receivers, apps and platforms you already use. Each row carries the status the docs give it.
Running CeraLive on your own hardware is free. The hosted cloud is coming soon. These are the plans we're building.

CeraLive is a live-streaming system designed for you to build yourself. Most of its software is open source. The device compresses your camera’s video and sends one stream across multiple connections at once. A receiver puts the packets back together into one stream for your viewers. Results from tested setups: 4K at 59.94 fps over HDMI on both boards, in H.264 and H.265. Result confirmed by the CeraLive team (no logs attached). Capture and encoding are 8-bit; this does not cover every camera or input format, exact 60 fps, or HDMI audio at 4K.

No. It’s a do-it-yourself project: you build your device from a supported board and off-the-shelf parts, then flash the CeraLive image onto it.

To bond connections and keep streaming if one fails, you need at least two. You can stream over one connection, but there is no other link to take over. More links on different networks protect you better.
